OUR PURPOSE
I. Our Purpose:
"To know Him and make Him Known."
We exist to attract and reach all people wherever they may be in their spiritual pilgrimage and develop them into Christ-Centered members mobilized for service in Christ?s cause, ministry in the church and/or mission in the world.
II. Our Priorities:
We will accomplish our purpose through these priorities:
1. Bring People:
Invite people to come and see Jesus in our events and services.
2. Mend People:
Restore people to emotional and spiritual stability.
3. Equip People:
Prepare people for ministry and mission through teaching and on-the-job training.
4. Send People:
Involve people in mission work to various people with various needs beginning in Tucson and fanning out.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We Believe Jesus Christ is God's Son, that He is in fact God, co-existing with the Father and Holy Spirit. That Jesus Christ was present at creation, was born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified, buried and raised again the third day according to the Scriptures.
We Believe the Bible is God's Holy Word. It is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, correcting and instructing in how we should live.
We Believe God created the world and everything in it. He created man on the 6th day and then rested from his labors on the 7th day.
We Believe the Church is the bride of Christ. That the Holy Spirit indwells believers and keeps them.
We Believe one day Jesus Christ is coming back to claim us as His own and take us to heaven with Him in the rapture. We believe His coming is imminent and will be before the tribulation spoken of in Revelation, at which time the nations are judged preceding Christ's return to earth for His thousand year reign.
We Believe Church Membership does not save you but is encouraged that we forsake not the assembling together of ourselves.
We Believe salvation comes only through the shed blood of Jesus Christ and our faith in that sacrifice made on the cross. Baptism does not save but is an act of obedience to Christ.
And We Believe that we would love to have you join us and fellowship with us here at Bethel Community Baptist. There is a place here for you to serve our Lord and be ministered to in Christ's love.
